Jimmy Belton is a dedicated servant leader with a passion for improving the quality of education for black and brown children. With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lander University and a Masters in Teaching and Learning, he brings valuable knowledge to his role as the Academic Dean at Meeting Street Academy.

Jimmy began his career as a teacher, working with 5th–8th grade students at Legacy Early College in Greenville. He then moved to Atlanta, where he became the founding 5th grade math teacher at KIPP Soul Academy. Throughout his journey, Jimmy has held various leadership positions, including Grade Level Chair, Department Chair, and Teacher Leader.

At Meeting Street Academy, Jimmy is thrilled to share the joy of learning with students and create an inclusive environment. With his extensive experience and unwavering commitment, he aims to ensure that every child receives a high-quality education.
